Partnerships with other key agencies will allow the
ROSEO program to provide the most current information
on astronomy and space science to the rural teaching staff.
These partners include:
Little Thompson Observatory,
Northern Colorado Astronomical Society,
Denver Museum of Nature and Science.
|
|
| Little Thompson Observatory will provide an evening
training program during the teacher training Institute. |
|
| Northern Colorado Astronomical Society, a club of amateur
astronomers who volunteer extensively at the Center, will
assist with the Starlab teacher training as well as help
teachers prepare programs for public events with parents
and the community. |
|
| As part of their teacher training Institute, rural teaching
staff will spend one day with partners at Denver Museum
of Nature and Science. This day will include visits to
the Space Odyssey Exhibit, Gates Planetarium Show and
two workshops: Space in the Classroom and the Solar System
Expert Lecture. |
|
| The Center will also partner with Northeast BOCES and
East Central BOCES to help identify specific instructional
needs in science, math and technology that can be filled
with the ROSEO program. |
|
| Both before and after the summer teacher training Institute,
Discovery Science Center staff will attend BOCES instructional
fairs in the area to promote space science education in
the northeast region. |
|
| The ROSEO staff want to help you during the program
and in the future. Please feel free to contact them if
you need help with your space science programming. |
