Lintel 15
The date of this event, from the glyphs, is March 28, 755 A.D., three years after the accession of Bird Jaguar. This Lintel depicts a blood letting rite with a vision serpent. Lady 6-Tun, a wife of Bird Jaguar, has used the stingray spine in her basket to make a hole in her tongue. The rope is then run through the hole to collect the blood, which drips onto the bark paper. The vision serpent appears in the smoke, which rises from the burning bark paper. From the mouth of the serpent comes the ancestor to give counsel.
